Luxury Travel to Navarino Island
Caught between the island of Tierra del Fuego to the north and Cape Horn to the south, Navarino is a wild and rugged Patagonian island putting you the in perfect position for exploring the Beagle Channel, Wulaia Bay, the Cape and even spotting Antarctic wildlife.
It’s well off the beaten track so the island’s numerous trekking circuits (which can be tailored to all paces and interests) give you outstanding scenery and outdoor experiences almost all to yourself. Hike or horse ride through the tundras, southern beech forests, past mountain peaks carved into teeth (Dientes de Navarino) and multi-coloured lichens, and landscapes that very much remind you that you are at ‘the end of the world’.
Navarino is in fact the nearest land to Antarctica, and in various parts you can spot its wildlife in the form of whales, Magellanic penguins and orcas. On other days you can fish for all types of trout, kayak the coastline, dine on King Crab, and even meet the last remaining Yamana people at Villa Ukika too.
